Book publishers make more than 90% of their profit from books they published more then six months ago. And yet they put 2% of their effort in promoting and selling those books. Salesman all focus on what is new, instead on what works. – Seth Godin.

80% of 90% van jouw bezoekers, klanten en inkomsten komen van ‘oude’ pagina’s, diensten en projecten. Maar hoeveel tijd hecht je aan het promoten en verbeteren van die onderdelen? Besteed je nu te veel tijd aan het creëren en promoten van nieuwe dingen? Negeer je het oude? Probeer je tijd beter te verdelen.

Hoe je goede koppen schrijft (simpel uitgelegd)

He gave them all these facts, Ken Peters, principal of Beverly Hills High School, announced that the entire faculty will travel to Sacramento next Thursday for a colloquium in new teaching methods. Among the speakers will be anthropologist Margaret Mead,… etc”

Most students rearranged those facts into a basic AP one-sentence headline. Finally the teacher said, “The lead to the story is ‘THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL ON THURSDAY!’”

It’s not about regurgitating the facts, but about figuring out the point. Understand why it matters. Point here being that students remembered that lesson for decades after because it was unexpected and simple.” – Made To Stick
