Over ambitie en (levens)doelen

Life is music. Not a journey. Or a bulletpoint list.

Zacht, energiek, droevig etc. Ga met de flow mee.

“It’s not a race. Just do your work.”

“Be busy, but not feel rushed.”

Some people look into the future and see a clear path or a grand goal. Most people look into the future and see nothing – or a vague image.

“While you can get virtually anything you want, you can’t have anything you want.”

“Don’t get yourself paralysed by all the choices. You can have much more than what you need to be happy. Make your choice and get on with it.”

Vuur is vuur. Tijd om het aan te wakkeren.

You’re lucky if you find something you love. And it’s a miracle if they want to pay for it.

Through disappointment comes clarity. And with clarity comes true conviction. And that leads to originality.

Look for a way of life, not for goals.

Ambition: they do not look for an end to their misery, but simply change the reason for it.

Clarity comes before focus. Clarity comes from earnest digging. Self awareness, trying, thinking, reading, experimenting. Through disappointment comes clarity. And with clarity comes true conviction. And that leads to originality. – Chase Reeves.

Life isn’t something you ‘figure out’ and then coast through. The lessons and challenges come fast and never let up.

“If a man knows not to which port he sails, no wind is favorable.” — Seneca

The part of you that wants to improve is the same part of you that needs improvement

“Not all those who wander are lost.” – J. R. R. Tolkien

“It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested. But when it is wasted in heedless luxury and spent on no good activity, we are forced at last by death’s final constraint to realize that it has passed away before we knew it was passing. So it is: we are not given a short life but we make it short, and we are not ill-supplied but wasteful of it… Life is long if you know how to use it.” – Seneca

Our focus shapes our reality.

Fortune never helps a man who doesn’t help himself. Fortune favours the brave.
